Law 8/2021, of June 2, which reforms civil and procedural legislation to support people with disabilities in the exercise of their legal capacity, recognizes that in processes involving people with disabilities, the following must be carried out: adaptations and adjustments that are necessary to guarantee their participation in equal conditions. Among these adjustments, he recognizes the figure of the professional expert facilitator.
We present this report on the impact that facilitation has on judicial processes that includes interviews with various legal operators on the challenges faced by the Administration of Justice in the implementation of this new figure.
