This report titled Fair Trial denied: Defendants with disabilities face inaccessible justice in the EU, was developed by Validity Foundation (Validity Alapítvány – Központ a Mentális Sérültek Jogaiért) within the project “Enabling Inclusion and Access to Justice for Defendants with Intellectual and Psychosocial Disabilities” (ENABLE – 101056701 – JUST-2021-JACC).
The project seeks to promote access to justice and fairer criminal proceedings for defendants with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities in 8 EU countries (Bulgaria, Czechia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain), and it is implemented by the following consortium of 9 experienced NGOs:
